Joy of Beer Reviews #1 Budweiser Black Crown (US Import)

Here we have Budweiser's latest flagship brew. They describe this as a golden amber lager, which I would say is entirely accurate. Basically it's like regular Bud but brewed with caramel malt, to give it that amber colour and to a higher ABV at 6%. It also has a denser hop profile (just). This being an American adjunct lager (ie it contains rice as well as malt) I had it ice cold but found it improved as it warmed in the glass ever so slightly, and I could taste a pleasant chewy caramelly flavour after a while. 

This was a very nice strong lager that I would recommend to anyone who likes an easy drinking lager. Only downside is having to cross the Atlantic to get one...
